UniQuest’s board of directors has appointed Life Sciences Technology Commercialisation General Manager Dr Dean Moss as the company’s Acting CEO.
UniQuest chairman Dr Carrie Hillyard advised the company’s staff and key stakeholders that Dr Dean Moss will assume the role of Acting CEO when the current Managing Director, David Henderson, leaves to pursue non-executive directorship opportunities later this month.
Dr Moss joined UniQuest’s Technology Commercialisation division in 2005 as the General Manager responsible for leadership, business development, and management of the company’s Life Sciences interests.
“Dean’s extensive experience in science, academia, and business, here and overseas, will help UniQuest continue to operate as one of Australia’s leading university research commercialisation companies during this interim period of corporate management,” Dr Hillyard said.
“We look forward to a seamless transition as Dean takes the reins from David Henderson, with whom he has worked very closely and effectively over the past seven years. We are confident that he will build on the strong foundations of David’s legacy to ensure UniQuest maintains momentum as we move into a new era with the next managing director.”
The Board has commenced its recruitment of a replacement managing director, and will advertise details of the position in the coming weeks.
