Anne Bannister

Anne Bannister is Head of Social & Behavioural Sciences at UniQuest, where she leads SHAPE Maker, an initiative designed to accelerate impact from SHAPE (Social Sciences, Humanities and the Arts for People and the Economy) research. She works with researchers, industry, government and investors to translate knowledge and intellectual assets into scalable ventures, partnerships, policy solutions and other pathways to impact.  

With executive experience across commercial and not-for-profit sectors, Anne brings deep expertise in commercialising research and IP, shaped in part by operating her own business.  

She has extensive governance experience, serving as a Director, Secretary and Committee Member across youth, health, sport and community organisations. Anne is the inaugural Chair of the HASS Special Interest Group at Knowledge Commercialisation Australasia (KCA).  

A Chartered Accountant, she holds a Bachelor of Commerce (UQ), is a Justice of the Peace (QLD), and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
