At UniQuest, we are passionate about partnerships with industry and seeing UQ innovations and expertise make profound commercial, environmental and social impact.
When we say industry, we mean it in its broadest sense including business, angel and venture capital investors, not-for-profit organisations and Government.
All UniQuest staff are involved in industry engagement.
We know that to deliver the needs of industry that first we need to listen and understand. We drive the process of matching and commercially packaging UQ’s innovations and expertise to address the needs of our clients.
We value our partners and deliver value to them.
At UniQuest, we build and maintain longitudinal partnerships with industry.

We target organisations seeking to augment their internal R&D activities with university sources of innovation and world-leading expertise through deep and enduring strategic partnerships.
The University of Queensland is no stranger to research partnerships. UQ is ranked in the top 100 global universities; ranked 1st in Australia and 59th in the world in engineering; ranked 1st in Australia and Asia-Pacific and 12th in the world in agriculture. UQ has 1500+ active research partnerships, including the Baosteel Australia Joint Research & Development Centre and the UQ Dow Centre for Sustainable Engineering Innovation.
UniQuest has fostered several enduring partnerships with organisations such as Johnson & Johnson/Janssen, Elanco and 3M.
UniQuest is also able to help companies connect with areas within UQ that can help them with their organisational needs aside from technology and expertise. For example, we introduced 3M to the UQ Graduate School when they had a desire to access world-class postgraduate talent, resulting in the 3M PhD Scholarship program at UQ running from 2014 to 2018.

"UniQuest have proven themselves repeatedly to Janssen to be excellent at research commercialisation.  They understand industry and what it needs when companies engage with universities and their technology transfer organisations.
They put in considerable effort to qualify their projects against a company’s strategic needs.  We have multiple deals now with UniQuest – small and large – and found them to be respectful and responsive in the legal negotiations, and committed to post deal management.  We hope for more deals with UniQuest in the future”
