UniQuest is proud to support the launch of the Health-e-Regions project in Miles and the collaboration between QGC and The University of Queensland (UQ)’s Centre for Online Health (COH) to deliver telehealth specialist services to Queensland’s Western Downs.
This collaboration has been facilitated by UniQuest as UQ’s main commercialisation company.
UniQuest CEO, Dr Dean Moss, said the partnership demonstrated how Australian communities are benefitting from UQ research via industry collaboration.
“Advancements in telemedicine and e-health arising from UQ research are opening up new possibilities for improving access to key health resources, which tend to be centralised around capital cities. Partnerships like this one between the COH and QGC are making it possible to introduce innovation to communities where it can make a significant impact,” Dr Moss said.
“UQ’s COH has contributed significantly to global knowledge generation about telehealth service delivery and communities in the Western Downs will benefit from innovative healthcare models now being implemented within their local health service providers.”
