A team of researchers led by Dr Janet Davies from the University of Queensland (UQ) have identified, isolated and sequenced the key allergenic components of two sub-tropical grasses, Paspalum notatum (Bahia grass) and Sorghum halepense (Johnson grass).

These sequences have five principal commercial applications by generating either recombinant allergenic proteins or monoclonal antibodies that are specific to the allergenic components
